PSF Community Partner Program
The Python Software Foundation (PSF) is pleased to invite regional PyCons, Python workshops, Meetups, organizations, and other Python-related initiatives to apply to become Community Partners.
This is a non-monetary partnership offered to qualifying applicants to help support their events and initiatives through:
- Attaching the PSF name to the event or initiative to gain credibility and attract sponsors
- Promotional support through re-sharing of qualifying social media posts on PSF social media accounts (LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, X)
The program is administered by PSF Staff and the review and approval process is managed by the PSF Grants Work Group. In some instances, the PSF Board may be consulted.

Criteria
Similar to the PSF Grants Program, the PSF needs to ensure the applicant meets certain criteria before agreeing to be a Community Partner. To qualify, the applying event or initiative must:
- Have a positive impact on the Python community
- Be Python-specific, or majority Python-related
- Have an established web page (e.g. dedicated domain, Meetup, or Luma page)
- Have an enforceable Code of Conduct with clear reporting mechanisms
- Acknowledge and agree to the bounds of the Community Partner title, as outlined in the application form

Community Partner Process
Application
The Community Partner application is a one-page Google Form that collects information to facilitate review by the Grants Work Group, including:
- Basic applicant information (name, email)
- Event, organization, or initiative details (type, website, description)
- Acknowledgements (Trademark usage, Code of Conduct)
Additional questions help support the event or initiative, gather metrics, or assist in evaluation.
Groups that organize multiple events in a year (e.g. Meetups, PyLadies Chapters) should apply for the group as a whole versus individual events to keep the volume of applications manageable for administration and the GWG's capacity.
How to Submit
Submit your application at least 6 weeks before your event or initiative. First-time applicants are encouraged to apply 8 weeks in advance.
Applications may be submitted up to 6 months in advance. This allows the PSF to provide timely promotional support.
